Our beliefs
About Jesus
We believe that Jesus is unique in so many ways. Never was there anyone like him before or after. Jesus came to seek and love people.
He is God – “In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God” (John 1:1-2). He is eternal; he has always existed. Jesus Christ is infinite.
He is the Creator – “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth…all things were created through him and for him” (Colossians 1:16).
He is our Saviour – Because of our sinful nature we are separated from God, but because of God’s love for us he sent Jesus to die on a cross for us and rise to life three days later.
“For God so loved the world he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
Jesus was the “mediator between God and men [mankind]…who gave himself as a ransom for all.” 1 Timothy 2:5-6.
He did this by dying on the cross for us, taking the punishment we deserve as sinners.
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree…by his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24
About Church
We believe that church is not a building you visit but a community you live in. Church is a community of regular people seeking to live the way of Jesus together, because the way of Jesus cannot be lived alone.
The church community is radically inclusive of all people because that’s just how God is. We believe we were created for community so together we share one another’s burdens and joys, we share our time and our possessions. We have decided that in giving ourselves away that we will find deeper relationships and greater purpose in our own lives.
We believe the best for one another and the world around us. Together we can be a brilliant force for good in the world as we express the goodness of God in practical, unconditional ways.
Church is a community where you ground your life and relationships. And with that can come a great sense of value, purpose and fullness to life.
