Connect Kids is a Christ-centred program which allows for children in grades 3-6 to interact with each other through wide open games, small group discussions and talks about Jesus and the Christian faith. This program adapts the Awana structure using an activity book to lead the children into discussion of the Christian faith and understanding of the Gospel. Our aim is to encourage the children to reach out into the community through their school, sporting clubs, neighbours and family networks. Connect Kids acts as an outlet for the children in the community to actively seek and grow in their faith while surrounded by friends.

Structure of the Night
6.30pm – Wide Games
(Children are divided into teams for some competitive games that allow for all levels of activity to compete. Teams earn points to receive a prize at the end of the night)
7.10pm – Devotional Time
(Children are seated for a time of devotions to hear about the Gospel to assist them in their Small Group discussion time)
7.20pm – Small Group Time
(Children split up into smaller groups where they complete their activity book to further their understanding of the devotion and retain the information with the assistance of a leader. This is a time where the children are able to ask questions to further their understanding of the faith and for the leaders to bond with the children)
7.45pm – Extra time
(Activity varies based on the rest of the night. Normally ends in more games to earn points for the teams before announcing the ranking of the teams throughout the night)
